Background/History: Hector Warwick was born June, 30, 1960 in San Francisco, California to Agathon Warwick, an Fire Fighter and Helen (nee Wagner) Warwick, a Registered Nurse. He has one sister Cassie Warwick, a physical therapist. He graduated from Stanford University Medical Center with a Bachelor of Science degree in Emergency Medicine as an Emergency Medical Technician. He is continuing his studies Off Campus and pursuing a degrees in Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) as a Technician and Emergency Management Services (EMS) as an Administrator.

On a ride along, Hector’s Ambulance responded to a call in the aftermath of a super battle. Short handed the EMT’s let him help. He helped the survivors as best they could. Drawn by the groans pain he found a man mortally wounded in an alley. He smiled strangely as Hector tried to save his life. “I have been watching you young man. You possess the heart I seek.” He gasped in pain. “Here, take this.” He removed an Amulet with a Gryphon from around his neck and placed in into Hector’s hands. With his last breath he whispered. “It is your time now… mine is” His words faded away.

The sounds of the Super Battle grew closer. The buildings around him collapsed on them, but something happened he did not expect. He was suddenly standing protected from the falling rubble by golden metal wings and armor of the Gryphon Winged Battlesuit. Hector used his powers guard the lives of the innocent bystanders and destroyed the Sentinel Robots attempting to kill the Mutants.

The responsibility of power and his own personality kept Hector fighting the good fight. He was often seen assisting with Natural Disasters, protecting civilians caught in the line of fire, and clean up afterword. This left little time to continue his education and he began taking Off Campus Courses.

Personality/Motivation: Hector is a cheerful young man always seems on hand to help out a friend or a stranger. He has never been afraid to do what is necessary to protect others and will sacrifice much to help them. He has a strong dislike of criminals and those who betray the public trust.

He stays in close contact with his family, but only his sister knows his secret. He doubts his parents would understand. For the most part they live their own lives and try to get together at least once a month for diner. He maintains his Secret ID to protect his family and friends.

As the superhero Gryphon he monitors emergency calls on police scanner, flies patrols over the city, and responds to requests for assistance when ever possible. He is not a glory hand as he has been accused of, but does not feel the job is done until the work is done.

Powers/Tactics: As Gryphon he wears the Mystical Winged Battlesuit of the Gryphon. The metallic wings grant the wearer the power of Combat Flight unequalled manoeuvrability. Non-Combat Flight acceleration and speed exceed Mach 14. Winged Launch can lift the wear 60 meters into the air is seconds. Winged Shield can protect the wearer and protect others. The Flung Feathers Blades are capable of penetrating even hardened targets. The Feather Barrel Plug Darts are accurate enough to jam multiple firearms. The Wings Edge is sharp enough to shear through almost any material. The Wing Sweep can strike multiple targets in close combat, and Wing Buffet can knockback a targets further than expected. It also augments the wearers Strength and Speed. Granting the user many Avian Adaptations and protection. The lethal attacks are reserved for unliving, inanimate, and like targets.

As Hector he possesses great physical potential and natural ability, but no Combat Training.
